I’m due another holiday…— the stillness, the sunsets, the soft reminders to breathe (🧘🏾‍♀️ I do miss Zanzibar). However right now, I’m in the thick of something that’s shifting everything. As we enter the final days of June, I’m reminded: we’re about to close out the first half of the year, it’s gone quick. Have you reflected ? Whether it’s been a testing, stretching, still, or a mix of all — there’s still time to reset, refocus, and realign with what you really want to carry into H2.

There’s something grounding about being in and with nature — no noise, no rush, just the wild as it is. I spent 3 days glamping on Masai Mara National Reserve Kenya safari, witnessing animals in their natural habitat and not sedated. It was breathtaking and reminded me to slow down and appreciate the simple things.

As a solo traveller, I’ve learned that these moments don’t come easy. The planning, the cost, the long searches — but this was worth every bit of it. If you’re thinking of doing something like this, I’ve got tips. Happy to share — just ask.

I’ve got so much content to sort through (the reels are coming), but I already know I’m getting some of these printed. It was that beautiful.

Nairobi in pictures (Part 1) #solotraveller

Booked on a whim, lived with no regrets. It was only right to embark on a safari adventure while being just over an hour away from Uganda. I booked everything last-minute from London—spontaneous, solo, and slightly nervous with my indecisive self on best plan—but it turned out to be a great decision.

When doing my research, Nairobi offered a wide range of safari experiences. I researched and read reviews until I was tired and started again the next day lol. While it’s not cheap and risky going on my own, it was totally worth every penny - when you find the right one. I took a chance, did my research, and trusted the process. This was a reward I gifted myself after completing the marathon, I’m glad I did it as it allowed for unforgettable encounters, wild beauty, and a deeper connection to nature (and myself).

This entire trip not only Nairobi reminded me that sometimes the unplanned moments turn out to be the most divinely orchestrated. “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9

Nairobi in pictures (Part 1) #solotraveller

My time in Uganda with @overflowencounters was truly unforgettable. I want to thank the visionary, @ezarickcampbell , and The Gospel of Life International Ministries in Kampala for welcoming us with such love and creating space for God to move in powerful ways.

We were able to serve over 260 buckets filled with essentials and gifts for children—impacting so many families, and we’re not done yet. We also went door to door, sharing the gospel, and witnessed over 10 people give their lives to Christ. It was humbling and beautiful.

I had the privilege of serving alongside some incredibly gifted individuals. We worked in unity, shared our faith boldly, and poured out love and compassion wherever we went. We laughed, we worshipped, and we built friendships.

Kampala, I know this is only the beginning. God is doing something special, and I’m excited for what’s next. There’s still more to do—so I’ll see you soon.

A week ago I completed the London Marathon…. That’s crazy 😝 here’s my officials ❤️ I started on a high and ended on a real life moment of when I was thinking of my life choices and why I did this to myself. We give thanks 💕💕💕💕

To every single person who sponsored me, donated, shared my fundraising link, or encouraged me along the way—THANK YOU. Your support helped raise vital funds for the @alzheimerssoc , a cause that means so much to me and my family. You didn’t just give money—you gave me a reason to keep going when it got tough.

Bucketlist item ✅ | London Marathon 2025

No amount of prep can prepare you for doing 26.2 miles. I started training in January and honestly it weren't enough time but running was not just about fitness but ‘ENDURANCE’. My knee decided to pop itself out of place and I could see it. I got this far, I saw so many on the sidelines unable to complete. I cried and could literally hear everyone who spoke and prayed over me, just one by one running through my mind ‘you got this’.

Yesterday my mum, daughter, bestie, brother and friends all took to the streets to follow me from the start of the journey. Wow oh wow it was seeing there beautiful encouraging faces of love and determination to see me to the end ❤️. The importance of ‘STRENGTH in your COMMUNITY’ is powerful. My running partner @xxsdxx and I both had turbulence on route, separated but we sync back up and said we finishing together. She left me, I left her but we both speaking life and prayers over each other and waiting. 🩷

@vicus_ya @itslitening my coaches, instructors, I don't know what i call them but instrumental to this journey quietly in the background ensuring I'm doing what i need to. 🩷

I got messages, voicenotes, pictures everything. MANY times I feel like a one woman band going from project to destination to something else but I learned 🎓 I don't have to do this on my own ‘well i can’ 😆 but i don't need to. Knowing who I've got in my corner. I did not just run this for me but US. Under 1% of the UK population run the #LONDONMARATHON - if I'm the only one in my family or community know that i did this for us.

This should be a reflection of knowing it is possible. We don't need to compete, there is space for all of us and its more fun with family and friends routing you on and standing beside you.

Bucketlist item ✅ | London Marathon 2025

This week I take on one of my most toughest challenges as I take my place in the @londonmarathon I’m going through all types of emotions, my sleeping 💤 pattern is messed up and I’m eating all these carbs (pasta) I pray I run off after loosing all this weight 🤣. This week I take on one of my most toughest challenges as I take my place in the @londonmarathon I’m going through all types of emotions, my sleeping 💤 pattern is messed up and I’m eating all these carbs (pasta) I pray I run off after loosing all this weight 🤣. I’ve learnt so much and I definitely won’t be the same.

ENDURANCE - the ability to endure a difficult process or situation without giving way.

To mark this milestone I’m raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society charity. You can still donate, just DM me or check my story. Thank you to all my amazing supporters, advisors and advocates getting me this far. Trust me, I wouldn’t have gotten here without you.

We all have our limits, however don’t let your own personal limits stop you from greatness. Don’t hinder what is meant for you out of fear. I know Sunday 27th April 2025 will mark one of my toughest test and achievements but I’m going to do it. ❤️✨

It’s wild to think the London Marathon is just weeks away. 🏃🏽‍♀️, as I adjust my breathing and go for endurance not speed. It feels like I’m carrying my whole heart on this run. Change is here, whether it’s adapting my health regimes, work commitments and projects. This run is pinnacle as it has me feeling everything at once—grief, gratitude, excitement, transition and nerves. But through it all, I find comfort and strength in him. When you see happiness and joy in someone you just never know what it took to feel that dose of joy and freedom. I don’t take it for granted. #letsdothis #selflove #wegotthis #selfgrowth

It’s wild to think the London Marathon is just weeks away. 🏃🏽‍♀️, as I adjust my breathing and go for endurance not speed. It feels like I’m carrying my whole heart on this run. Change is here, whether it’s adapting my health regimes, work commitments and projects. This run is pinnacle as it has me feeling everything at once—grief, gratitude, excitement, transition and nerves. But through it all, I find comfort and strength in him. When you see happiness and joy in someone you just never know what it took to feel that dose of joy and freedom. I don’t take it for granted. #letsdothis #selflove #wegotthis #selfgrowth

2024 Year in Review

Today I’m reflecting on 2024, it was a season of acceleration, creativity, heartache and meaningful connections. Balancing many roles whilst keeping my head together and acting in most cases like I know what I’m doing. If it weren’t for the podcast constantly having me re-evaluate myself or early morning prayer challenging me to go deeper and consistently be in prayer then boy certain pitfalls could have wiped me out. The mission was to live and be authentic with a daily dose of self-love. Get a little uncomfortable and remove noise that’s not conducive to your development.

The Striving Butterfly Podcast @thestrivingbutterfly became a safe space for people to share their journeys and embrace their authentic selves. Reaching 665 downloads alongside growing to 961 subscribers on YouTube.

Creatively Minded @creativelyminded reached new heights in 2024. I launched affirmation cards, planners, gratitude jars, and the highly anticipated 2025 diary. The response has been overwhelming; and my heart is full of gratitude.

Hosting the vision board workshop and speaking at corporate and industry events was a massive opportunity and achievement for me.

Beyond my own projects, I poured into growing and capturing moments and content for @dsc_uk @ntatooting @ezarickcampbell @stefanbrownmusic @pattyboxco @orecommunity.uk . Not everyone understands why I’m always running around with a camera, but these are my passions—my creative “babies.” I believe in what’s happening in these spaces and the vision behind each one.

Amid all the growth and achievements, my family and friends have been my greatest anchor. My mum @misslucky_rose daughter @kylaamyers and dad @mr_bertram_myers have been my constant source of grounding and joy, reminding me of what truly matters. Let’s not forget @sabian_chorkie 😂

Here are five meaningful things you could do between now and the end of the year:

1. Reflect and Reset: Take time to reflect on the highs and lows of 2024. Journal your thoughts, lessons learned, and areas of growth to prepare mentally and spiritually for 2025.

2. Family Time: Dedicate intentional time with your family, creating special memories to close out the year.

3. Music and Creativity: Start brainstorming and working on your next project or any pending creative projects, laying the groundwork for 2025.

4. Plan for 2025: Finalise strategies for yourself and company, including scheduling launches and promotional plans.

5. Serve and Connect: Spend time in service, whether through worship, teaching, or uplifting others as they step into wanting more
